Planet packs are becoming ever more varied now these days, but barely any of them include small dwarf stars. These are brown dwarfs or very small red dwarfs. No mod is really dedicated to them, until now. KUMAR'S DWARF STARS is a pack named after the astronomer Shiv S. Kumar, who first theorized about brown dwarfs and red subdwarfs in the 1960's. A total of 5 systems are planned for the mod, but two are currently implemented.
-99 KORIONIS: This is the largest dwarf in the pack. 99 Korionis is an M9V red subdwarf with a radius slightly less than 79,000 kilometers and four planets. The first is a hot desert with 1 moon, the second is a Kerbin-sized habitable zone world with its atmosphere stripped off and one moon. The third planet is a dense ice world with crushing gravity and one large moon. Finally, the fourth planet is a purple-pink gas dwarf with no moons yet.
-KIP-666: Nicknamed "The Kraken's Lair", KIP-666 is an eerily dark Y-Class brown dwarf with no planets (yet). It has a radius of about 12,900 kilometers and is the smallest "star" in the pack. KIP-666 has been feared to be the hiding place of the Kraken, where he waits for any unlucky space travelers to eat. It also has two planets, one with life (Krios) and one similar to the Mun (Koios).
This mod comes pre-packaged with Kopernicus Beta and Module Manager.
