I imagine mods like this are already in the works, but I'm impatient so I did it myself.
The patch must simply be placed in your KSP game data folder as follows: unzip the file and place the 'Patches' folder in GameData -> AirplanesPlus

Raw stats are from the beginning of time until now. Each follower and download entry represents one hour of data. Uneventful hours are omitted.
