Niven's Ring World

Still in development, but I wanted people to give bug reports, as my week little laptop can only handle so much graphics.

Currently working on integration with other main stream mods like scattererz parallax, EVE, volumetric clouds, and more.

Use sandbox mode for now to get to the Ring World.

Extract the ZIP file, then copy its contents into your KSP instances directory.

This mod adds the Ring World from Larry Niven's scifi book Ring World in to KSP.

Features & Scale

• The default Ring World that appears in the Kerbol System will be 1/10 the scale of the real deal, although this can be changed via the ring world settings on the right side panel in the launch menu.
• The default Ring World is 15.3 million km in radius, and 160,500 km wide, rotating at around 386 km/s such that the artificial gravity mimics that of Earth's.
• It is also complete with a day night cycle synced up with the panels that orbit the sun, where the shadow of these panels on the ring world becomes the night.
• The ring world comes with different biomes, terrains, and structures that can range from a house to bridges 120 km wide. The larger the structure is, the rarer.

Exploration & Entry

• The Ring World can be entered from anywhere along its surface, without any teleportation or map change. It is fully implemented inside the Kerbol System, although you will have to deal with the fact that the ring world is spinning at 386 km/s.
• In Sandbox mode, the Ring World settings that appear on the right side tabs in the launch screen lets you instantly spin-match and teleport to different locations on the ring world, making exploring the ring world easier, if you can't figure out how to get into the Ring World normally at 386 km/s.

Performance & Settings

• The same Ring World settings lets users with beefy computers to set their quality presets, ranging from "Rotten Potato" to "Extra Beefy" and "Absolute Cow".
