This mod is not known to work with the latest version of Kerbal Space Program. Proceed with caution.
Even though it's impossible to take a photograph of surface of Venus from orbit because of the complete and permanent overcast, radar reflection can be synthesized and converted into an image. But that's not a photograph. Also, often such images have false color of orange which makes people think it's a real photograph, especially because space agencies, especially NASA, don't bother with annotating their images properly in all occasions.
I've modified the highest resolution radar image of Venus I could find to match the actual color of the rocks Venera probes encountered. Image was turned grayscale, turned into negative and its levels were tweaked to lower the brightness of the features, yet preserve most of them. Therefore, it is based on radar data and more or less real color which is dark gray. However, Scatterer should be modified further for the atmosphere to cast a yellowish glow.
Even though EVE mod should be used for more realism, this works nice without its clouds, but I really suggest using at least Scatterer to get a better sense of planet's atmosphere.
